FGM is a violation of fundamental human rights, inflicting irreversible physical and psychological harm on millions of innocent girls. It robs them of their dignity, their autonomy, and their right to a healthy and fulfilling life.

By decriminalizing FGM, we risk perpetuating a cycle of violence and oppression against women and girls, undermining the progress towards gender equality and women's empowerment.
