In brief, the average number of surveys per country is 121. 🇪🇸 Spain leads with 507 due to the inclusion of gender-related questions in the monthly CIS barometer. 🇩🇰 Denmark has the lowest number with 8. A total of 186 cross-national surveys were collected. #methodology

📊 What gender-related political issues do #national polls address? 🔹Human rights and civil rights are the most mentioned. 🔹Family is a widely covered topic. It is followed by the economy.  🔹Health, education and international policy receive less attention

📊 Gender in Surveys in Denmark 🇩🇰: Overall, Danish questionnaires contain few gender-related questions (n=79). 👨‍🏭🧑‍🏭The most frequent subtopic is the labour market, followed by work-life balance and sexuality.

📊 Gender in Surveys in Germany🇩🇪: 👩‍👩‍👦‍👦A limited range of #GBN is addressed, focusing on gender roles and behaviours within the family. 🏠Housework and work-life balance are the most frequent subtopics.

📊 Hungary: Gender in Surveys 🇭🇺 🔹The most frequent topic was family, followed by the labour market, marriage, and sexuality. 🔹The data focus on gender roles within the family and the acceptance of mothers entering the labour market.

📊 Spain: Gender in Surveys 🇪🇸 🔹Many questions address the issue of safety/violence 🔹There is a relatively high proportion of questions related to sex/gender and #GBN 🔹Limited focus on specific areas: gender-based violence and discrimination

📊 Switzerland: Gender in Surveys 🇨🇭 They frequently measure the prevalence and extent of gender inequality. Attention to #GBN is divided between questions: 1⃣About attitudes toward gender roles in the family 2⃣About political issues, where #GBN appears alongside other topics
