We are delighted to announce that we will be joining Joseph Coelho later this month, in a virtual author visit for our Year 9 pupils. They will be moving on to poetry as their last module of study in English this year.

In English, Year 8 have made the most of each revision strategy. Today's choice was flashcards! This was really helping the class look at key quotes from 'Animal Farm' 🐷🐗🐔🐴🐑

Another busy day in our Eco Garden, planting some vegetables donated by Mrs Clarke and sowing purple flowering broccoli donated from #RHSSchoolGarden campaign. Our learners also found out they would be going to RHS Bridgewater on a rewards trip for all their hard work. Well Done!

Two of our wonderful new community prefects delivered our 'Refugee Week' assembly this morning to Year 9 pupils. They did a fantastic job of advocating the simple acts that make our community better.

A 'Refugee Week' community film showing will be live on Friday in the library this week. We aim to bring people together and think about the struggles of being displaced. Some of our community prefects will be hosting this event.

Four Year.9 Design & Technology learners have represented the school at the Rotary Club of Bury Technology Tournament 2025 hosted by The Derby High, Bury. Learners were challenged to use their design thinking, problem solving and construction skills to solve the task. #TeamUnsworth #DandT
