During the 71st session Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UN Environment Programme Elizabeth Mrema addressed the Committee with high appreciation and importance of its independent scientific work.

At the IRPA16 congress in Orlando (7-12 July), UNSCEAR presented its comprehensive evaluations, future programme of work and strategy for data collection on medical, occupational and public exposures.

On 25 June OECD/NEA and UNSCEAR secretariat signed an MoU for collaboration, sharing information and analysis on radiation science and research. This is a significant achievement and a very important step forward in strengthening the collaboration between our two organizations.
