UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme, with support from Denmark in Somalia, marked #WomenInMaritimeDay in 🇸🇴 under the theme “An Ocean of Opportunities for Women.” In collaboration with UNTMIS and organized by Wasaaradda Kalluumeysiga iyo Dhaqaalaha Buluugga. & Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport of Somalia, celebrated Somali women breaking barriers in the maritime sector.

UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme has launched VBSS & port law enforcement training for the Somaliland Coast Guard officers strengthening their ability to secure territorial waters, enforce maritime law & respond rapidly to sea-based threats. Funded by The Embassy of Japan in Somalia 🇯🇵


UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme has concluded training on the Legal Finish of Operations at Sea supported by UNTMIS in 🇸🇴 boosting capacity to investigate, prosecute & adjudicate maritime crimes. The training also fostered stronger inter-agency cooperation from sea to court. Funded by 🇯🇵

UNODC Global Maritime Crime Programme has launched an Advanced Maritime Engineering Training in 🇩🇯 for 8 officers from 🇩🇯, 🇸🇨& 🇸🇴. The officers will become national instructors, strengthening engineering and maintenance capacity within their maritime law enforcement agencies. 🇯🇵 Funded by PMissionJapan Vienna.



In Djibouti 🇩🇯 UNODC Eastern Africa with support from the State Inspectorate General & US Dept of State INL is delivering specialized training on financial investigations, enhancing the capacity of Law Enforcement Agencies to combat financial crimes and improve asset recovery. #UnitedAgainstCorruption
