A number of our brilliant Unity English secondary students entered the National Literacy Trust writing competition ‘Connecting Stories’. 5 of our students were shortlisted in the top 10 entries and Amy in year 8 won 2nd place! We could not be prouder! 🥈🏅

This week our year 10 Unity Academy girls had their final boxing session. Huge thank you to Jamie Blackpool FC Community Trust for giving up his time. The girls said the sessions “were great fun, a huge stress release and helped them improve their positive behaviour.” 🥊

Today our year 11 Unity Academy students focused on developing and creating counter arguments against our class thesis statements. The responses they produced were fantastic! Massive thank you to Amy Staniforth and Stuart Pryke - not sure how we ever survived without Ready to Teach!

Today our Unity Academy students took part in our annual spoken word competition. Their entries were bold, thought provoking and articulate. Huge thanks to Nathan Parker for his brilliant workshops and performance- our students were truly inspired. #unity #blackpool #spokenword
