It's a little weird how Jamboree TV is basically treated as an entirely different game, in that all the new content is siloed to a new option you now select from the title screen. Functional, but not exactly elegant.

Here's why it's weird and not quite the same as Bowser's Fury/Shadow Gen: Choosing those didn't also allow access to content that's ALSO in the main game. In Jamboree TV, it's kind of jumbly and redundant, as you can access Party mode from either side, but one has more content

What I would have done was expand the HUB, add all the new modes there (but they'd be blocked off if playing on Switch 1), and then ask whether you'll be playing with Switch 1 players when you set up a multiplayer session, and the game would adjust what's available from there
