Part 3 What We Found Below the Walls of Sacsayhuaman Three pits were excavated along the western portion of the lower walls of Sacsayhuaman. Two on the lowest level, and one on the next level up. After a few days of digging it became clear that this was not going to be as simple

I guess the broken pieces of T-pillars that are also part of these primitive cobblestone walls are also 'offerings.' No chance they're an indication of a later rebuild, two very different periods of occupation with very different technological capabilities. The oldest dates

Underground beneath Sacsayhuaman with brilliant Peruvian archaeologist Jorge Calero. He and his colleague Mildred Fernández are proving the truth of legends and rumours of an ancient system of tunnels connecting Sacsayhuaman with Cusco. More to follow. Photo by Santha Faiia.

If this is true it seems to be fossil evidence supporting previous DNA and teeth morphology studies that are in the 700-800K+ year range for our species. We may well have been on this planet far longer than we thought. A species with amnesia indeed.

Something came out of orbit? This was the last few seconds of it heading away from me, but I saw it from the other horizon, a bright light with a trail. It went overhead, took 30+ seconds, and was breaking up. I thought it was a rocket launch at first... Northern California.

New video! Join me for an exploration, with my friends Russ, Matt and Rogelio, of the amazing megalithic streets of Cusco. Some context first, then it's a candid 'walk and talk' investigating the fascinating stonework of a truly megalithic city. youtu.be/8-oPVquUEi4

Hiked up to the top of Huana Picchu today, the mountain behind #machupicchu ! Strenuous hike, but totally worth it. #peru #ancient

MASSIVE granite stones left on the road to Ollantaytambo. Some of these are not less than 75 tons - the modern road is built around them! #Peru #megalithic

The incredible ancient machined stonework and fine details of Puma Punku, Bolivia! So much to discover in the small things here. Tiny channels with drill holes, remarkably well finished surfaces, more to come.. #ancient #technology #mystery

Found more overcuts on the amazing 'Khafre Enthroned' diorite statue dated to the 4th dynasty of the old kingdom of ancient Egypt. These would not occur with pounding stones, sticks and sand, a ridiculous theory. Was a rare occasion with the room not being entirely packed with

Broken sections of these beautiful old kingdom/predynastic hard stone artifacts in the Cairo museum reveal incredible details - like just how thin this difficult to work and brittle material is! Pounding stones, sticks and sand y'all, just try really really hard.
