In Hargaysa, Somaliland, CARE hosted a 4-day Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Training of Trainees as part of the Home-Grown School Feeding program! Funded by Finland in Somalia, it empowers participants to support school management & local farmers with sustainable pest control.

🎓Congrats! 106 female graduates of Somaliland National Education College in Hargeisa, trained on class teaching by CARE International Som and funded by EU Delegation Somalia under Horumarinta Cilmiga IV, received their teacher trainee certificates and are now fully ready to teach across Somaliland!

Thanks to France in Somalia, CARE held a graduation ceremony for 150 women and girls in Kismayo after 3 months of training. Attended by Jubaland officials, including the Minister of Women Family Affairs and Human Rights, and the Minister of Education,etc. #EmpowerWomen

Through the HE IV Project, funded by @EUinsomalia /Somaliland and implemented by CARE, the MoE of Somaliland and Save the Children in Somalia, the SL National College Of Education in Hargeisa trained 106 #female teachers. Together we are empowering women, transforming education!
