Excited to present my paper today at the The HRI Conference We tried to understand if normativized body appearances of robots influence people’s stereotyping. Turns out they do! A preview of my presentation youtu.be/CStbI0_gwi8 Feel free to ask questions in the comments 1/2

Happy to see the #navel robot on display The HRI Conference #hri23

Robots shouldn’t reason over race. But roboticists absolutely should be talking about & engaging with the social realities of race, in order to design robots that positively challenge rather than propagate or worsen racial inequalities. @tomwilliams.phd on bsky alt.HRI awesome paper!

It's been quite some time since I last posed in front of a poster. This one was definitely fun, interactive and insightful. Will do more posters again. Check the paper here: dl.acm.org/doi/abs/10.114… Thanks Linda Miller for supporting me here. The HRI Conference #hri23

"Sorry says the robot" Finally our The HRI Conference 2023 LBR paper is published (in the intended format which took a while to get sorted🥲). We report evidence for the role of individual differences for trust in robots' trust repair strategies. dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.114… #hri23

Pleasure to welcome @MartinTedward and Linda Miller from @HumanFactorsUlm visiting us this week, and collaborating with Gustav Markkula on cognitive #modelling in #AutomatedDriving. Nice presentations yesterday led to fruitful discussions Virtuocity | University of Leeds !

It was such a nice visit in the Human-Automation Interaction Lab lab today. Thanks for the warm welcome and all the fruitfuldiscussions. I am sure there are some cool projects ahead of us. 💪🏻

Last week I visited Berlin for 1) an inspiring lab visit at the great Human-Automation Interaction Lab by invitation of Linda Onnasch and 2) for a workshop on human-robot interaction in public spaces for the ZEN-MRI project. I can't spare you these two absolutely ridiculous photos of me. Enjoy! ;-)

📢 New paper alert: Congrats to Linda Miller for her new publication in the Internation Journal of Human-Computer Interaction. As always it was a good combination of rigorous work and great fun. The paper can be found here: tandfonline.com/eprint/CCVWCKF…
