Today, we had a game and dinner night at the REC ROOM for our MSC and PhD students. We also had an opportunity to celebrate our recent graduates. It was a good time outside of the lab and research.

I’m excited to announce that Cheta D. Akaluka and I received the Promoting Black Flourishing Student Fund from the University of Manitoba to facilitate a 1 day symposium tagged EcoEmpower through our organizations Sustainability For ME and Impact Leaders Connect.

The goal of the event is to empower black students to emerge as influential leaders who champion environmental stewardship and social responsibility. We will be having a keynote address by Minister Tracy Schmidt, and an engaging panel discussion.
