Back to the German volcanoes of the East Eifel for the annual LMU Volcanology field trip. This year, Thomas Jones and Carolina Almeida Figueiredo are joining and contribute to elucidate textural secrets of pumices. For now, a part of this beautiful outcrop has survived mining.
Stoked to announce that DFG public | @[email protected] will fund the PhD of Carolina Almeida Figueiredo at LMU Volcanology (Universität München). We will be studying petrophysical properties of pyroclastic deposits on 4 case-study volcanoes to better constrain transport and sedimentation conditions. 🌋😎
