An interesting scenario is when an adult VN series has cool mecha, and the mech designs start to reach far outside the original target audience. Below are mecha from various adult VNs. I've seen people who don't even play VNs talk about these.

Found myself thinking back on the time I helped develop Strain Tactics(Released 2017). I worked on some of the levels and consumable items in the game among other things.

The Bastion fleet carrier for PlanetSide 2 , I was stunned when approached to work on the IP as I was a huge fan of the first game... this eventually came out 10 years later, and I got to fly in a Reaver and land on the 1:1 scale 'deck' ingame... and promptly turn into a fireball
