James Dixon Very true, James!
Those who protect us, including police staff, volunteers, and their families, deserve a guaranteed safety net. The Government should fund a National Police Trust, overseeing grants for police charities supporting UK police workers and their families. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7332…
If you want to hire an assassin, you need a cool customer. Whatever you do, don't hire Jack! buff.ly/VXYsN7g #tudor #bloodymary #author #amwriting #histfic #crime #murder JoanneMGrant @SevernHouse
Stephen Phillips 💻 Michael Jecks Author It's disgusting to play with people's dreams like that - I knew one writer who was heartbroken her book wasn't in every branch of Waterstone's as the vanity publisher had claimed it would be. "Never give a publisher money," I once read, "That's what they give you." Good advice.
Stephen Phillips 💻 But remember Stephen, at PMQs they always say that they've deported around 35,000 since coming into power. Has anyone seen these stats or proof?
Thrilled that the 1st book in my Holy Wars series is published on 19th November. The 1st Crusade: hardship, treachery and betrayal on the march to Jerusalem! buff.ly/2BHwt9x #crime #holywar #templars #Jerusalem #crusade #crusaders #histfic Boldwood Books Victoria Britton
Stephen Phillips 💻 James Dixon I met an interesting fellow who wanted to film all 32 of my books in the Templar series. It was appealing. He supplied me a contract, I glanced at it & sent it to a friend who's a writer & lawyer. If I'd signed, I'd have relinquished all my rights to those books! I said no!
James Dixon Stephen Phillips 💻 Very true. Sadly the scammers are even worse now, and even mainstream publishers treat authors as disposable suppliers, do no marketing, and insist on owning rights to publish for 70 years after the author's death. The books are only 'product', the assets of the business.
