During the #GreatBritishBeachClean 2022, fantastic volunteers picked up over 141,048 pieces of litter. That's a lot! But average litter recorded per 100 metres is falling - 👉2019 - 558 items / 100m 👉2020 - 425 items / 100m 👉2021 - 385 items / 100m 👉2022 - 369 items / 100m

During the #GreatBritishBeachClean 2022 volunteers found drinks-related litter (including glass & plastic bottles, cans, caps / lids) on 93% of beaches across the UK. Wet wipes and sanitary items increased by 77% too.
