Another Exercizumab study! 💪 Among 22,716 childhood cancer survivors: ⚠️ Obesity = ↑ risk of future cancers (solid, CNS, skin) 🏃‍♂️ Physical activity = protective effect across cancer types Lifestyle does matter, even decades later. #Survivorship #ChildhoodCancer #Prevention

👏 Huge congratulations to Nicole Grogan Fleege, MD on receiving the Faculty of the Year award! So richly deserved! Your unique ability to make an extremely complex disease like breast cancer easy to understand is nothing short of remarkable. You’ve set the bar so high on how I should take

As always, my thanks to ASCO for letting patient advocates attend the annual meeting in person or online for free. It helps us spread information -- and hope -- to other patients.

Dr. Nina Niu Sanford I already tell my patients with cancer (or those in remission) to exercise. My conversation will now include the results of this trial as further encouragement.

You can find flaws in any study, but CHALLENGE has no major issues. Musculoskeletal side effects are expected with exercise; we can’t wrap patients in cotton post-treatment—they must return to life. If quality of life improves, minor side effects shouldn’t be overstated.
