Our lovely picketers are out again, despite drizzle. Some good chats with students about #whyweareSTILLstriking (casualisation, inequalities in pay & pay cuts disguised as pay rises). We also spoke to staff feeling the heat of casualisaton about joining a union #ucuRISING

Our branch met yesterday and the meeting was well-attended. We voted unanimously to encourage our members to vote NO in the e-ballot. Overall we felt that the question is terribly worded (again) & the offer is simply too poor to go to members. #ucuRISING

As far as we are aware, this Edinburgh Napier University ‘women in academia & research’ workshop is going ahead today, despite the fact that precariously employed & underpaid women & minorities across the country are striking for improved conditions. #dontcrossthepicket #ucuRISING
