USS pension update klaxon. 📢The Technical Provisions consultation data, released today, indicates that the cost of restored pensions from April 2024 will be down to 20.6% of salaries. Read on for details. (Mark and Jackie thread) 🧵

🚨BREAKING   We can confirm that USS is £7.4bn in surplus, and we are on track to restore  UCU members pensions and significantly reduce the cost of their monthly contributions   We’ll use the coming months to ensure employers fulfil their obligations   Your action did this 💪
