Farewell (for now) lunch with Jenny Crinion lab UCL Neurotherapeutics - delighted to be joining Michael Fox lab Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women's Neurology Brigham and Women's Hospital for 6 months to learn all about lesion network mapping!

✨Well done to our team members Catherine Doogan, Tom Langford, Lucy Taylor & Neena Singh, for having their research abstracts accepted to present at UK Stroke Forum (29th Nov-1st Dec). Register here to join us! 👇 stroke.org.uk/professionals/… #UKSF22 #stroke #aphasia #neglect #carers

Massive thanks to Dr Aida Suarez-Gonzalez for presenting her team’s incredible work on the #ReadClearApp. It was developed at UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology & UCL ICN to support reading in people with posterior brain damage 🧠📚 Available here 👇 makingreadingreal.org #PCA #raredementia #assistivetechnology

Woohoo, first publication from my #PhD is out now!🤠 Read about the co-design of the #iReadMore app for people with #aphasia in JMIR Neurotechnology: neuro.jmir.org/2022/1/e39855 🧠📚📱 JMIR Publications Dr Victoria Fleming Catherine Doogan Alexander Leff Daniela Romano UCL Neurotherapeutics UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology UCL ICN

If we want people with #aphasia to use our therapy apps, then we'd better make sure they are involved in designing them. Great co-design work from Tom Langford the UCL Neurotherapeutics team and software developer Pedro Quijada Leyton. Kudos to Zoe Woodhead and Dr Sheila Kerry who laid the groundwork.

Closing out the week with a bang! 💥 Our final session preview of the week focuses on #Parallelstream2C as session chair Alexander Leff looks at How can we ensure that people with stroke can benefit from high quality, high dose rehabilitation? #UKSF22

Come and hear the UCL Neurotherapeutics group present on our recent work in room 3A at the #UKSF22 in 5 mins! ‘How can we ensure that people with #stroke can benefit from high quality, high dose #rehab?’ 🧠🎙
