The panel that Kevin Bunch and I did earlier at MagFest this year is up on YouTube! It's all about the history of the shmup/STG series Darius (at least as far as we could make it in 1 hour), a big series for both of us!

Otogirisou, in English! The first game released under the Chun Soft brand! It's a sound novel, which inspired the visual novel genre.

First released March 7th, 1992, it now has a complete English translation (even the box and manual!) at translated.games/snes/otogirisou

Atari Archive focuses on another huge VCS release: the home port of the similarly monster coin-op hit Defender! Also Chopper Command is here for reasons that are pretty obvious once you see it in action.

Multiple people signed off on this terrible name. Should’ve just kept it as Project L if this was the alternative

Exidy put out some of the coolest games of the 70s and 80s so any opportunity to make these more visible is welcome for me

The new Atari Archive delves into the history of two independently produced games that feature space insects, both of which happened to come out in May 1982. Strange coincidences, but perhaps not as strange as which one got better reviews.

To my knowledge neither of these guys had been interviewed in English-language media before, so this was an exceptionally cool and rare insight into the overseas history of the Odyssey2!
