Leaders must deny themselves for the good of others, but self-denial starts with self-awareness. True understanding comes through honest feedback from others. A helpful question to ask someone if you want to grow in self-awareness: How do you experience me? Listen. Learn. Grow.

💯 The question isn’t whether you’ll let people down but how you’ll respond when it happens. “Bless your critics for their honesty,” Calvin Miller wrote. “They do not criticize you to be a blessing to you, but the end product may be the same.”

These lyrics have been a reminder that we all carry forms of affliction. Take heart brothers/sisters—you’re not alone. ”So, sing with joy, afflicted one; The battle’s fierce, but the victory’s won! God shall supply all that you need; Yes, as your days your strength shall be.”

Tomorrow I get to teach on the Ministry of the Family at church for a Sunday school class. Why does that matter? Because I grew up in a broken home—and now I get to speak on God’s design for family. That’s the grace of God on display. All glory be to Christ.

Print it out on paper. Read aloud with others. Make it a discussion in every classroom, living room, board room, locker room, and waiting room. So. Good.

Those who look to idols become like them (Psa 135:15-18). Those who look to the Lord are radiant (Psa 34:5). You will become like whatever you fix your gaze upon.

Enjoyed watching this game. Best part of the day was seeing Jase hold his son’s face, look in his eyes, and say “I’m proud of you”. Made my wife and I 🥹 and want every player to have a coach like him. That’s what great fathering and coaching is all about.
