• the federal carbon tax is only SK's carbon tax b/c Scott Moe refused to implement his own carbon pricing plan by the federal deadline /1

If I were a Sask Party Minister who gave a $6M sole source contract to a Calgary-based private clinic [using a former Sask Party Minister as its lobbyist] to address Sk’s worst-in-the-nation knee and hip surgery waitlists, I guess I wouldn’t want to talk about it either. 🤷‍♀️🤐

Is this the lie that does them in? Or will rural Sask continue to support the party that hasn’t reopened a hospital in 17 years and continues to privatize your healthcare.

Darlene Rowden — Sask. Party candidate & Sask. Rivers School Division Chair — released a statement about class sizes.

It didn’t sit well with me or the education workers I represent in that division, and across SK.

Because her comments were partisan, inflammatory, and false.

In 2017, the Sask Party took full control of public ed in Sk. The elected school board reps have no power and zero autonomy.

With the help of school board officials, we’ve downloaded the cost of public ed onto parents, which allows us to give tax breaks to corporate donors.

They put their fiscal framework act into legislation…then they repealed it, ran 9 deficits, cut funding to critical services, and hiked taxes on everyone and everything. #sask #skpoli

The people of Meadow deserve so much better. Vote him out.

Government: Union leadership is blocking the opportunity for members to have a voice.

Reality: Teachers had full input into the asking package and voted in favour of sanctions. Our 'union leadership' is comprised of teachers, voted in annually by our members—all teachers.

During this election year, we promise to spend billions on public education.

We’re going to funnel public dollars into donor pockets with expensive P3 builds that obscure operating reductions.

We certainly won’t agree to put the money in classrooms by signing any agreements.

Why would Jeremy Cockrill not agree to adding a single line to the agreement stating, “the parties agree the MFA and accountability framework will be followed and honored”?

We are deeply disappointed that the teachers of Saskatchewan have stood together in solidarity with their union.
We had hoped that the public would turn on teachers pressuring them to give up.

Nope, make it binding. Put it in the contract. Or agree to binding arbitration. Lots of ways to resolve this.

There seems to be some confusion and blatant misinformation from the education minister (Jeremy Cockrill) that needs to be cleared up.
