Tynemouth sailing clubs 2019 season starts - tomorrow. Can't wait !

Tynemouth Sailing Club annual open day is getting closer. On saturday 27th April, In a couple of hours you can wear wetsuits, sit in a powerboat, be sailed around the bay - and sign up to learn dinghy sailing with us. Interested? Follow the link. webcollect.org.uk/tsc/event/rya-…

The bar will be open friday night during and after youth training. Some yummy beer has been coming out of the hand pulls recently too. Whats not to like !

Tynemouth Sailing Club back on the water yesterday for casual sailing. Only 2 boats ( and 2 ribs) out, but the risk assesment and mitigations worked well. Time to scale up next. Racing not practical currently, but we are keeping an eye on possibilities

Yesterdays casual sailing cancelled due to unceeasing surf on the lee shore. Might have been ok to launch, but wouldnt have been safe to recover single handed in bigger surf later. Next session on Sunday full, might add saturday session to cope with numbers
