#BREAKINGNEWS We’re in front of Cactus Jack’s on McCain Boulevard, where police say there was an officer involved shooting in the parking lot this morning. Police are still surrounding the scene and you can see markers on the ground. KARK 4 News FOX16 News

NLRPD says at 6:45 officers did a traffic stop in the 4100 block of East McCain Blvd. During the stop, the person on the passenger side of the car ran out and shots were fired and that suspect was shot. The person’s injuries are non-life threatening and no officers were injured.

Officials say yesterday a train derailed in McGehee at the crossing of Highway 4 and Crooked Bayou Road possibly because of the hot temps. The Desha County Sheriff’s Office said the derailment may have been caused by the track buckling due to heat. KARK 4 News FOX16 News

Travis Posey was sentenced to life in prison for the 2024 mass shooting at the Mad Butcher grocery store where 4 people died and 11 were injured. He will serve 4 life sentences without the possibility of parole and 11 count terms that total to 220 years. KARK 4 News FOX16 News
