The European Space Agency #moonlight made me think about whthr or not there's smth like the shielded zone on the #Moon RECOMMENDATION Int’l Telecommunication Union-R RA.479 protecting radio astronomy but for the visible spectrum protecting optical astronomy. We’re going back to the Moon and staying ! 🚀🌕 As we explore the moon further and establish a lunar economy, ESA Connectivity and Secure Communications will provide connectivity to lunar activities and exploration through our #Moonlight programme 🛰️ #Artemis #ForwardToTheMoon
Handover complete! The Maria Cavero has handed over #Artemis comms to NASA's Deep Space Network! The NSN successfully enabled communications for Orion Spacecraft during launch and early ascent. Now, the DSN will support the spacecraft en route to and in orbit around the Moon.
Yesterday, Orion Spacecraft manoeuvred its solar arrays and captured the Moon as seen here with a camera mounted on the end of the array. The #Artemis I spacecraft is now over halfway to the Moon. NASA Artemis Airbus Space @AirbusDS_NL Beyond Gravity Human Spaceflight #OrionESM
Taken during the #Artemis I Moon flyby, the optical navigation camera aboard the Orion Spacecraft spacecraft closely captured stunning pics of craters on the Moon. 🌕 🔗 All pictures available here: flickr.com/photos/2998873…
