I had a great time evaluating Sophomore and Senior Defense of Learning presentations at Sacramento New Technology High School. These students walked us through their projects and discussed their career plans. I was impressed by what I saw!

This long needed improvement is finally coming! Highways 41 and 46 are the primary way to get from the central valley to the central coast without going through San Jose. From someone who used to drive from Sacramento to SLO quite a bit to visit family, I'm glad to see this.

We have a tentative agreement with Sac Teachers! We agreed to significant pay increases for all educators, respecting the people who make our schools run and helping us fill vacancies. This supports the proposition that we are a destination to work in and to send your kids to.

Today, we celebrated No One Eats Alone Day at Sam Brannan. This event is an effort to ensure that middle school students feel recognized and connected in the classroom, and with each other. It was inspiring to see all the students who stopped by have a great time.
