To be clear, Biz “started” using “tweet” because Blaine Cook suggested it to Craig Hockenberry while beta testing Twitterrific in 2007 which got implemented into the software’s lexicon immediately. And Ollie is the mascot of Twitterrific—predating Twitter’s bird icon. iirc

As Elon tweets about transparency, developers and users of Tweetbot by Tapbots, Twitterrific, and echofon sit waiting 24 hours later with no word from @Twitter as to why APIs allowing third party apps stopped working. So much for transparency.

As of this afternoon, Twitterrific for Mac has been suspended from Twitter without explanation.

Aside from the people here, Twitterrific from The Iconfactory was what made Twitter great for me. I keep thinking I’ll be happy to support whatever they do next… then I realized I could subscribe to Wallaroo now to show support and get cute wallpapers ✨ apps.apple.com/us/app/wallaro…
