The perks of having our day of lectures moved online. Morning classes from inside the sensory swing and afternoon sessions lit by the bubble tube. I feel bad for thriving due to my lecturer being poorly, but it was just what I needed after an exceptionally busy week. UoNCAMH

Totally appalled by the inaccessibility of Rushden Lakes' cinema (built in 2019). I had to wait for a stranger to let me in, as there are no push pads upstairs. The disabled toilet was out of order and the door to get to the lift (my only way of exiting) wasn't automatic either.

Well, this was definitely a first. Meet Colin the skinny pig. He doesn't belong to me. I just had the privilege of holding him for a little while this afternoon. He is surprisingly cute for a hairless guinea pig.

McColls now has an automatic door. This is abolutely amazing and totally made my day. I might have cried a little bit when I saw it this morning. It will make such a difference. Thank you Becky Bradshaw .You're brilliant. I have already been in and out twice, just because I can!

Today was all about Autism, consultancy, advocacy and representation. We spoke about our transferable skills as Autistic employees. Thank you to Tereza Aidonopoulou-Read for always finding us such great opportunities. I also really enjoyed listening to the brilliant Tom from CAFE TRACK .

Today was the first (Neuro)Diversity for this academic year. We welcomed some new first year students and checked in with the returners. For more information, please follow the new instagram account (details below) or send me an email. I will sporadically be checking Twitter too.

Next week the 2nd (Neuro)Diversity session will be happening on campus. Due to room availability, please note the amended start time. We'll be discussing the social side of uni: extracurricular activities, group work and communal living, plus any examples you'd like to bring.

Just popping by to promote Autism Pride... This is an event I launched last year at UON with the help of the wonderful @Changemaker_Hub . This year we're going bigger and branching out into the community, with the support of NHFT and some amazing volunteers. Everyone is welcome.
