Facebook has tons of post asking educators to stop focusing on test scores & treating students as a number. Parents buy houses based on areas of good schools, states release school report card-both of these use ACT scores- is it educators who need to stop focusing on ACT scores?

Saw this on another socia media cite and I wonder how many teachers are spending thanksgiving break catching up on grading, planning and other aspects of their job? I know I am!!

Now that Dr Mackey has outlined our road map I say “Bring on August”. Yes, we have questions but instead of being negative I chose to focus on the historic events we will meander through together. This will define our educational system and I cannot wait to be a part of history.

After 22 years in the classroom this year is bound to be one I remember for the rest of my life. I have made a decision that this WILL be a good year. I WILL NOT worry about what I cannot change. Instead I will focus on what I CAN DO, and I can be amazing!!!

Educators-please research the candidates stance on education. This election is about SO much more than the Supreme Court. Education and educators have been out through the gauntlet this pandemic. We need a qualified Secretary of Education.
