The #Spatial and #Temporal #Statistics #Symposium (#STSS2021) is underway!! Thanks to our first keynote speaker Sally Cripps for a fantastic talk to kick off the symposium! UOW CEI UOW NIASRA MATRIX Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) Quan Vu

Learned a lot of helpful tips on coding (especially defensive programming) from Michael Bertolacci at the #spatial #temporal statistics symposium, sponsored by MATRIX Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI). Super excited for the rest of the symposium 😊😊

An integral member of the #spatial and #temporal #statistics #symposium (#STSS2021) organisation team, learning all about GPUs and Tensorflow with Andrew ZammitMangion!! Thanks Andrew! MATRIX Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) UOW NIASRA UOW CEI Quan Vu

Day 3 of the #Spatial and #Temporal #Statistics #Symposium (#STSS2021)! Joe Guinness, valued customer kicking off the morning by talking about Gaussian Process computing with Vecchia's Approximation & GpGp #Rstats package! MATRIX Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) UOW CEI UOW NIASRA Quan Vu

Conference season has started! I'm preparing my talks for ISBA and @anzsc2020. These are my PhD work with my supervisors Andrew ZammitMangion Noel Cressie Matt Moores #rstats #rspatial

Very excited that UOW CEI UOW NIASRA is part of the new Australian Research Council Research Hub for Transforming energy Infrastructure through Digital Engineering! Follow tide.edu.au for opportunities and to engage with us as part of TIDE Research Hub. Matt Moores David Gunawan

Super excited that five of the PhD students of UOW NIASRA will be presenting our research in the Environmental Stats sessions at #ANZSC2021 today! Laura Cartwright Josh Jacobson

It's been awesome to see strong engagement with talks given by my cohort in UOW CEI including defensive programming by Michael Bertolacci, variational autoendcoding by Laura Cartwright and spatial deformation by Quan Vu 🌏

So, I don't tweet a whole lot, but inspired by some of my colleagues at #UOWSEALS, especially Marian Wong and @AtmosJennyF, in honour of GCCW (#UOWGCCW), I'll do my best to highlight some of the work we're doing around #ClimateChange in UOW Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry (CAC)

At UOW Centre for Atmospheric Chemistry (CAC) we also make many in situ measurements of greenhouse gases using an instrument we developed here UOW, including during my PhD years amt.copernicus.org/articles/5/248… These instruments are now making their way around the world, contributing to many research projects #UOWGCCW

Thank you Statistical Society of Australia NSW-SSA for an opportunity to present my research at the J. B. Douglas Awards. UOW NIASRA UOW CEI
