I read that there was a “No Kings Day” protest in Brenham, Texas, the small town my Mom and her boyfriend live in that sits between Houston and Austin — population ~20,000. I jokingly asked her to swing by it to see what type of turnout there would be and to report back.

The majority of the No Kings protests have dispersed at this time and all traffic closures have been lifted.  We had more than 100,000 people across all five boroughs peacefully exercising their first amendment rights and the NYPD made zero protest-related arrests.

This is the kind of turnout we need for the midterms!
