Gold Saver Pass Year 3 had a fabulous time at the Tutankhamun Exhibition! It really helped us imagine how Howard Carter might have felt when he discovered the tomb.

This delicate wooden chest is decorated with djed and ankh symbols. It contained a number of the young king's personal possessions.

This exquisite head of the young Tutankhamun shows him being reborn from a blue lotus, symbolic of rebirth and immortality. This lovely head was one of the first objects found by Howard Carter. This beautiful replica sits in our treasury room. #tutankhamun
