Saturday Rugby for THS

Clubs are back! This week we had 110 students at school show launch and stage combat club is already creating some impressive work - slide along to see what they were up to! Turing Singers started today and we have two dance clubs starting on 25th (Y8-11) and 30th (Y7-8).

Our amazing Band Club members making themselves heard in last night’s open evening. They played a set list including: Nirvana: Teen Spirit Jet: My Girl AC/DC: Highway to Hell What an amazing chance to show off music-making to our prospective parents and students.

Great work from Y9 this morning composing their own melodies over Pachelbel’s ground bass.

Basketball and Table Tennis wins this evening. Well done Team Turing.

Day 1 in sunny Barcelona with the 6th form. We took the funicular up to Montjuïc where we strolled around the park grounds, enjoyed beautiful views of the city, and raced down some slides. 🇪🇸

Y8 are learning how to play the Acoustic Guitar this term during their studies of Reggae and Bob Marley.

Y7 have been having an introduction to Logic Pro XI. They’ve explored the Dorian Mode, tonic and dominant notes through sea shanties and were tasked with creating a sequenced realised performance. Some excellent work so far!

Some photos from our afternoon in Malaga with year 10. We walked through the old sector, did some shopping and walked along the port. We are now heading to our hotel for the evening and hopefully getting lots of sleep after being at school at 3.30am this morning! 🇪🇦
