Also with the way our elite behave, do you think they will a). Resist such attempts to reintroduce colonialism/slavery Or b). Align and find a way to exploit the people and become the middlemen/suppliers that will profit from it? The answer tells you how low quality they are

That's the thing. People don't get that what bestowed legitimacy on civilian authorities is an adherence to the rule of law, fairness and equity. Once that is gone, it becomes who has greater ability to use violence to have their way.

What are the similarities between Nigeria, its immediate neighbours and the wider global geopolitical situation in 2025 and 1962/1963? Is Nigeria a (contentious) census and an (unscrupulous) election away from 1966? When history (potentially) repeats itself, it is a farce.

A brigadier general of the Nigerian army is murdered by terrorists. Right after, the vice president is in a political rally somewhere in the country. The main opposition party is fighting and can't even oppose anything. NGMI. Ever

The Nigerian state is both so incompetent and compromised that it is making a rag tag army of terrorists look invincible, undefeatable and inevitable.
