P4 #TweetoftheWeek Welcome back to steam 2 in P4. We have started our gymnastics block focusing on travelling and jumps. We are investigating coding within ICT using code.org. We also explored the outdoors using leafs to print and explore colours.

Primary 6 had an exciting delivery today thanks to our visitors from StAMP Music! 27 trumpets 🎺 Tony taught us the basics as we prepare for our first gig - the Christmas Service!

P4 #TweetoftheWeek. This week we have been learning about living things and their characteristics. We wrote about the life cycle of a butterfly. We have been practising the split strategy in maths and continued our coding journey. We were also joined by destination judo!

P5 absolutely loved their Judo taster session this morning!

P5 demonstrated responsibility and respect and were excellent role models during Outdoor Learning day with their P2/3 buddies at Old Tulliallan Castle. Big thanks to our parent helpers who made this outing possible!

P4 #TweetoftheWeek. This week we started our chocolate bar challenge. We wanted to find out why chocolate bars are so tasty and where it comes from. We were challenged to design a chocolate bar after listening to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We had great fun!

P5 are really enjoying their Ethical Design topic! We have been learning about Fair Trade and this week we designed posters for a chocolate company that reflects the 3 elements of forest friendly farming: working together, sustainable farming and protecting the environment! 🌍

Our learning about Ethical Design in P5 has helped us in our thinking about the materials we used for our Christmas craft. We have made use of recycled fabric scraps and sticks from the natural world to create these unique trees which will be on sale at the bazaar this weekend!🌲

Tasty Treats have been hard at work this term planning for the Christmas bazaar. They have planned, designed and costed various Christmassy treats. They created North Pole candy cane marshmallows, hot chocolate Rudolphs, Santa sweetie cones and chocolate ball wreaths!

P4 #TweetoftheWeek. This week we have been preparing for the Christmas bazaar. We wrote, designed and made Christmas Cookies. We created French Xmas cards for the start of December. We also started our Scottish Country Dance

Primary 1 had a great time on their Ecology walk with staff from Balfour Beatty and Bear Scotland. We looked for bugs using magnifying glasses. In groups we walked up on to the Kincardine Bridge and used binoculars to look for wildlife. Thank you for inviting us along. 😀

Some P6 and P7 pupils went along to the launch of the Kincardine Local Place Plan. It was lovely to hear what the plans are. We look forward to working with Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Kincardine Community Council to share our own thoughts and ideas.

P5 have been very engaged in their learning about money and financial education this week. They have been working in groups to plan a Christmas lunch menu for 6 people within a budget of £45!

#P4TweetoftheWeekWe survived our first week back at school! 🎒✏️ we have been incredibly busy creating calendars exploring oil pastels. We have been exploring sequences and patterns with shape and numbers. We also wrote out New Year’s resolutions. #FirstWeekBack

P7 loved our day out to National Galleries of Scotland where we got a chance to view and talk about some of the amazing Scottish art collections plus have a go at some art challenges of our own. We also enjoyed singing on the bus and playing in Princes St Gardens. #heritage #artforall

P4 #TweetoftheWeek This week we have been learning a 3rd Scottish dance -The Dhoon. We have been starting our new topic looking at different decades. We are looking at the 00s. We are starting with hobbies and interests. We also had a visit to the mini museum bud bus.

P4 #TweetoftheWeek This week we have been comparing and ordering fractions on a number line. We have been writing haikus in Scots. We have also been learning a new dance called, The Dhoon. To help with our topic we have been learning how to code and animate using Scratch.

Quick P7 update from day 1 at Fordell. We've settled in well. Our activities have been fun, the weather is lovely and our tea was tasty 💛💙

A very busy day 2 at Fordell for our P7 team: we've been boating, abseiling, caving, doing archery, adventure courses and enjoying a bonfire with our @Blairhallps pals.
