To be clear, there's nothing wrong with folks who set up a camera and mic looking to entertain others as a hobby. There is something seriously wrong, however, with those who pursue doing so as a career or life goal. Talk about contributing absolutely nothing to society.

So many YouTube personalities exemplify their ignorance daily by dropping F-bombs and other crude language every 15 seconds. This kind of language is a huge turnoff, and it's yet another reason among many for why I hold their "contributions" to society in such low regard.

I've attended comic conventions for years. It's always baffled me that fans pay to meet so-called "celebrities." More baffling still, though, are people paying to meet social influencers. What an absolute shakedown. Charging for this is a predatory act on the chronically lonely.

Blue Beetle was a disaster at the box office, but even worse, it was an awful film. Bad acting laced with cringe, jokey humor, topped off with a mustache-twirling villain and costume designs that would make a Power Rangers extra blush. And James Gunn thinks this is worth keeping.
