Our 2025 Annual Meeting of Working Group 11 on Data Security and Privacy Liability on the campus of Microsoft is well underway. There was plenty of robust dialogue as the first panel discussed its draft Commentary on Individual Liability for Data Security Failures.

The dialogue continues at the 2025 Annual Meeting of Working Group 11 Microsoft. Panelists in the “AI Statutory Guidance” session discussed the draft Commentary on the interpretation of the Colorado Privacy Act and AI Law, with regard to AI use in hiring.

Day two of the WG11 2025 Annual Meeting Microsoft opened with a timely panel on emerging cyber threats. Panelists explored evolving risks, regulatory shifts & liability concerns—offering insights into the legal and cybersecurity challenges organizations face in 2025 and beyond.

The first Sedona Summit was held at Sterne Kessler in Washington, D.C., bringing together longtime contributors and new voices alike. Discussions focused on how Sedona can continue to move the law forward in a reasoned and just way. Thank you to all who took part.
