Even by his standards, this is a pretty stunning view of the role of the Federal government in a crisis. No doubt this has everything to do with the fact that NY has half the cases and the next 3 largest are all solidly blue

The U.S. military by far the institution that Americans have the most confidence in, and has of late shown its ability to resist political partisanship. Trump's failure to fully mobilize the military in this crisis is a sin that is costing lives and increasing the economic pain.
