Great to be with Church Action on Poverty as part of the movement addressing poverty. We're sharing our experiences of the Self-Reliant Group model as a means to build confidence, community and friendship through saving, sharing and enterprising together.

Gathering reflections, experiences & ideas about food & dignity. "Food isn't the issue, money is." "If your community is working well and you all just naturally help each other out, you don't feel needy or poor when you ask for help - you have relationships where you just do it."

It was such a joy to pass on the value, strength and impact of facilitating #SRGs - so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did! What a crew!

Setting up The Old Fire Station car boot sale this morning, we have members of Well-being Warriors SRG and Supermarket Savers SRG selling their own plants, crafts and tons of donated goods for their Group Funds. Fingers crossed it stays dry and lots of customers enjoy the bargains!

First sale already made at the artsmix market in city centre today! Members from four different #SRGs have hand crafted a variety of items to sell for their Group Funds - as you can guess, the theme for our stall is bees! Come and visit if you can (Albion Place). 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝
