Congratulations to Rishi Sunak. It’s important to recognise that unity is what we now need; Liz and Boris have given him their support we should do the same. We might not agree with him on everything, but I’d rather Rishi than Labour any day of the week.

Thank you, Liz. You fought hard and deserved so much better! Your devotion to public service is admirable and your constituents are lucky to have you. Never surrender your principles.

Liz Truss has nothing to apologise for; she will be ultimately vindicated on her quest for growth.
