Today the HAC Regiment fired two consecutive gun salutes at the Tower of London for the State Opening of Parliament and to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s 77th Birthday. 🎉 The HAC fired 103 rounds in total. 🔥

More than 1,100 members of the Armed Forces and almost 200 horses were on show to deliver the State Opening of Parliament. Soldiers from The Grenadier Guards, @Irish_Guards, and the Coldstream Guards joined personnel from the RAF and Royal Navy to line the route of the royal procession

Today, the Armed Forces played a major role in the State Opening of Parliament. More than 1,100 military personnel and almost 200 horses took part, lining the streets, performing music, and escorting His Majesty The King from Buckingham Palace to the House of Lords.

Anniversary of H.M. The King's Accession to the Throne: On Monday 9th September 2024 there will be a 41 Gun Salute by The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Hyde Park at noon and by the Honourable Artillery Company (62 guns) at Gun Wharf, Tower of London at 1.00pm.
