My story in nzherald today on NZ's appalling attitude to road safety has a few people jumping up and down, usually because why shouldn't they be allowed to speed? My favourite: "It's not speed it's the bad roads". If the road is bad, isn't that an excellent reason to slow down?

In 2010 the whole of the public sector made up 19.7% of NZ’s total workforce. In 2023 it made up 18.8%. Claims there has been an explosion in the public sector are pure spin to justify sacking hard working Kiwis to pay for unaffordable tax cuts. This govt has the wrong priorities
