Using ThreadEx stations with 100+ years of data, here's a map of stations that tied or broke their maximum February record highs yesterday & today. Breaking a 100+ year *monthly* record is remarkable on its own... by doing so by **over 5 degrees** is even more so!

Record-breaking #heat is forecast to expand from the Midwest and Great Lakes to the Northeast this week, potentially lingering through early next week. The duration of this heat wave is notable and potentially the longest experienced in decades for some locations.

The current forecast for Pittsburgh keeps overnight lows >=70F through Sunday. There has never been a 6 day or greater run of lows that warm in the month of June over the period of record (154 years).
