the color palette for cinderella castle in Tokyo Disneyland is not as it appears to the naked eye. look closely in any photo and you’ll see contours, subtle shadings, and gold highlights to make the carved details stand out. the color temperature is also warmer and brighter.

the murals of Cinderella Castle is truly a historical piece. as modern style and character guides would definitely have notes for this today, i find it fascinating that they let the great Dorothea Redmond deviate from the movie’s style and created something beautifully original
