Santa Clara County electeds won’t stop trying to kill regional transit operations funding while bullying their way to build massive, expensive and low utility transit stations.

Transit operations are at extreme risk and the richest part of the region with most jobs is laser focused on making sure other counties don’t benefit from their tax dollars and that they get to keep their bureaucratic fiefdoms

We need to move beyond the YIMBY/NIMBY binary (post a bunch of confused nonsense)

To be clear, the underlying post is about adding housing in wealthiest and most segregated parts of one the richest cities in the country. Funny how quickly that gets abstracted to gentrification and impoverishment.

Aaron Peskin has twice endorsed the statewide ballot measure to gut state affordable housing incentives, demolition protections, fair housing rules, anti-sprawl measures and planning promulgated by the segregationist/suburban NIMBY homeowner group Livable California.

Bad sign for housing affordability and good governance that Oakland now has a prominent California Endowment mural.
