Today for the first time, I held a physical copy of my book in my hands. *Abolition Time: Grammars of Law, Poetics of Justice* is out in the world. This feeling is indescribable. I hope that it may be a useful offering to think with. Here's towards thinking, in chorus.

My undergrad African American Studies Program in Alabama “celebrated” its 25th yr in existence last week and I am the only person to earn a PhD in the field. Since organizing w/ students in 2013 as an adjunct challenging structural neglect I’ve been ostracized & never welcome.
