Lots of talk about VO2max for longevity.

What we miss:

-It's one of the least trainable components
-Even in elites, it plateaus well before performance does
-A focus on Vo2max often pushes to short term interventions (HIIT)

Your better at focusing on performance over long haul

WA produces a product and licenses its distribution all over the world- NA, SA, EU, Asia, etc… They SELL those distribution rights to the highest (and sometimes best) bidder. That winning bidder could literally bury the feed so it never airs or have zero budget for all the cool…

I **might** be in the same position as most had I not been in broadcasting for some time now… but it’s wild how little knowledge people have about sports media, specifically T&F 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’ve seen some silly takes today 😂

No amount of success is enough.

If you crave external validation, you’ll always want more: more money; more fame; more followers.

Behavioral scientists call this cycle of endless desire hedonic adaptation.

Long before that, the Buddha called this suffering.

Do what you enjoy and be a good person. It’s not that hard, most people won’t notice and that means you’re doing it right.

5 things all fools do (from the Stoics):

1. Care what other people think (Epictetus)
2. Wait until tomorrow (Marcus Aurelius)
3. Act like they’re going to live forever (Seneca)
4. Suffer before it’s necessary (Seneca)
5. Make up ‘reasons’ to not do the right thing (MA)

Every has Eddie stories… a fixture, a legend in our time, a good man, a great sage, & a timely helpful ear when a young kid was dealing with injuries and self doubt. Thanks Eddie 🤘🏼🥹❤️

What does everyone think?? If I’m being honest here… decathlon. Learn to pole vault early and those 6’7” levers will help with everything else.

Betting a single event, you’re betting he’s a top 0.001% central nervous system “pop” type athlete… can’t coach that!
