Mike Glavine is as good as any coach in college baseball. Leading a tiny mid major New England school in Northeastern and routinely beating premiere programs. Glavine has turned down major offers to remain at Northeastern and this is the best team he's ever had.

Nearly unprecedented stuff here. Brewers intentionally walk Rafael Devers to load the bases, putting the go ahead runner on 2nd base. This is Barry Bonds level fear.

Brewers do the right thing, walking Devers to load the bases in a 1-run game. Without Bregman in the lineup teams will be extremely careful with Devers and Bregman's absence in the lineup really showed up with that scenario in the 9th.

After tonight the Red Sox are now 6-15 in one run/extra inning games. If they were 14-7 in those games (8 more wins) they would be tied for first place in the AL East.

Northeastern baseball has its season come to an end at the hands of Mississippi State. Huskies won a game in the post season to break a 15 game losing streak in the tourney, 49 wins is currently the best mark in the country, remarkable season for Mike Glavine and company.

The Devers thing seems unimaginable. Not because of the reporting or the random timing, but because it really felt like the team and player had moved past everything with the position pushback and the fact this is the absolute best hitter in baseball the last 45 days.

As of now, the return on the Red Sox trading away Devers (the best left handed hitter in baseball) is a pitcher with a -0.9 WAR in 13 appearances in 2025. And another with a career 4.48 ERA in 35 career starts. Hard to comprehend for a team that felt like it turned the corner.

The Red Sox pay Alex Cora a lot of money to manage difficult situations. It felt like Cora was doing a decent job calming the waters with Devers and upper management. Hard to believe Cora is on board with this.

I hate that it is being made clear "THE GIANTS ARE PAYING EVERY PENNY" That doesn't help the team. In fact, pay part of the contract and get better prospects/players. Fans (and media) want to watch winning, exciting baseball. Not cost cutting on the CBT spreadsheet.

Unconscionable that Arkansas lost that game. So much had to happen in that 9th inning, much of it self inflicted. So hard to take and really feel for Dave Van Horn and his players who are so close time and time again.

I absolutely LOVE that Kade Anderson wanted the ball in the 9th inning. 130 pitches! He's a stud and the highest of high end prospects and that's a massive number you don't normally see a kid fight through with how valuable the future is.
