The 8-seed Pella completes the Cinderella story by defeating North Polk 4-2 to win the Class 4A state title!

More history for Pella! Last night, the softball team won their first state title and today, the baseball team did the same. Congrats to the Dutch!

'25 for MSTM Baseball ends in the @ihsaa 1A Finals, falling to St. Ansgar, 4-1. It was the 18th tourney app. for the Blue Devils, who returned to State for the first time since '20. HC Jon Fitzpatrick knows his guys will be back, after going 8-19 in '23. Local 5 News

No seniors, no problem. Pleasantville Activities, for the 1st time ever, is an IHSAA State ⚾️ Champion. Caylor Jones's 6 IP 1 H gem, & a 5 spot in the 1st, helped the Trojans def. Unity Christian, 9-1, in the 2A Finals. Also... they expect to run it back in '26. 👀 Local 5 News

50 to go in the Iowa Corn 350. William Byron leads, looking for his first win since Daytona. Chase Briscoe, the poll leader, has been towards the top all race, while Brad Keselowski is in dire need of a win to clinch a spot in the #NASCARPlayoffs. He sits in 3rd right now.

The newest winner of the #IowaCorn350 was the man that came up one spot short last season. William Byron now has a Truck Series W, an Xfinity Series W & a Cup Series W at the Iowa Speedway. It's the second victory for Byron this season (Daytona). Local 5 News
