The real reason this scene was so powerful is bc of the integration of cosmology, ontology, and epistemology. That power is exactly WHY colonizers destroy ancestral ways of knowing and being. #sinners #thread

You honestly think the govt that enslaved your ancestors for 400+ years, murdered your political leaders, and then funneled crack cocaine into your communities is above dropping your Black ass in an El Salvadorian style prison camp?

Conversations about autism always astound me especially amongst black people. Your uncle will only eat liver and onions for dinner and wears the same shoes every day and just buys them again when they get worn down. Your mom has a room in her house nobody can sit in and can’t

Our ancestors were more equipped than us with less education and resources. Do you see why the erasure of black history is important? Our ancestors were time travelers.

everybody complaining but as long as people/artists keep revering/coveting these white awards, they're gonna do what they want😭

I rarely get annoyed with film reviews as people have a right to dislike films. But this The Guardian review of Sinners by Peter Bradshaw doesn’t sit right with me. Largely due to his unfulfilled wish for it to be the type of film to help explain Black life. theguardian.com/film/2025/apr/…

White people do not like being around black people who aren’t racially naive or who don’t coddle, avoid, or stabilize their whiteness in some way. Which is why black folks who be around white folks all the time always have some weird stuff going on—- ALWAYS

My AuDHD stream of consciousness is fighting for its life in the pits of hell... I just want to chat with all the divergences 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It is not just non-academics who struggle to understand research articles. I find them difficult too. I often wish there were ways for authors to summarise their main points using bullet points and simple language. Lay abstracts are helpful, but they are not enough.

i think ive cried more now as a creative freelancer than when i was working a regular 9-5. this stuff is harder than you think but people only see the end product. never the frustration and constant money you have to find to fund your stuff.

As I've been saying, if you willingly relinquish your mental abilities, you will lose them. The fact that millions of people seem eager to give up their intellects, to be freed from the burden of ever having to think or create, is a nightmare out of our darkest science fictions.
